Three viaducts are\non it near Lunan Bay ; an elaborate cutting,\nabout a mile long, conveys it past Ferryden ;\ntwo viaducts, costing about 8000 and\n18,000, take it across the two arms of the\nSouth Esk; and a plot of 33 acres, re-\nclaimed from Montrose lagoon by means\nof a lofty sea-wall, fully a mile long, is\npartly occupied by its Montrose station.",
