The Spey\ntraces all the boundary with Elginshire,\nand is here deep and rapid. Aberlour burn,\nentering that river at the village, makes a\ncascade of 30 feet. Craigellachie on the\nSpey will be separately noticed. The\nsouth-western district is mountainous, and\nincludes most of Benrinnes ; the other\ndistricts also are prevailingly hilly, yet\nabout two-thirds of the entire area are\ncultivated.
